London In Bloom – Pinner Station

This year for the first time ever, Pinner Underground Station gardens were entered into the London in Bloom Competition.

Since 2017, gradual progress has been made cutting back overgrown plants and shrubs, such as the lavender. Those of you that have been regular commuters might have spotted the changes.

One of the volunteers attended a zoom award event earlier this month. We have been awarded with a Level 2 award. Well done & thank you to the volunteers that give up their spare time, it’s appreciated.

Dear All,

This is just a reminder that the Pinner Welcome Back Market takes place this weekend on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th October on Pinner High Street from 10am to 5pm.

We will have over 30 traders selling a variety of goods including street food, arts and crafts, clothing, flowers/plants, eco and hand-made products and much more. With special live performances by local acts:

There will be children’s rides & the first 100 visitors will be given a free reusable tote bag.

There will be a temporary All Day rate of just £6.00 to park at Chapel Lane Car Park on Saturday 9 October. We are encouraging drivers to download the PayByPhone App https://paybyphone.co.uk/ and pay for the parking this way with the location code 802005 Chapel Lane Car Park. As usual the car park is free to use on Sundays.

I hope to see you there this weekend.

Harrow Foodbank – Trustees wanted

We have recieved a message from Chonde, Project Manager at Harrow FoodBank.

“We are looking to increase our Trustees pool, potentially to add up to 2 more Trustees, anyone interested will be interviewed by our joint Chair.  The roles would be determined based on the skills and expertise that these people can bring to the Harrow Foodbank board of Trustees.  Officially our Trustees are required to meet x6 yearly, however during the pandemic Trustee meetings have been more regular.”

If you are interested or would like more information, please email Chonde  [email protected]
