Twelve Burglary Prevention Tips of Christmas

Dear Watch Member,

There are many creative, unconventional ways in which you can deter, delay and detect burglars. You only have to watch classic 90s Christmas comedy Home Alone to see how an eight-year-old boy single-handedly protected his family home.

Whilst marbles and paint pots may be somewhat effective, please find attached twelve common ways to protect your home over the Christmas / New Year festive period.

Santa’s Sleigh

Pinner Rotary are working hard to bring Santa and his bright red Sleigh to tour the streets of Pinner this Christmas from 10th to 18th of December.

The tours will go ahead subject to final approval from Harrow Council.

Because of Covid-19 Santa has to socially distance so cannot stop for a chat and a selfie. He will drive slowly along his usual routes so please give him a wave and a cheer, but do not gather in large groups.

Santa’s Elves will not be knocking on doors or making a bucket collection this year so please support Pinner Rotary by making a donation by text or online. This Christmas we are collecting for St Luke’s Hospice and HAD: Harrow Association of Disabled people youth services.

Text PINNERSANTA 5 to 70460 to give £5 or replace 5 with any amount of your choice. (Texts cost donation amount plus one standard rate message.)

Or donate online by debit or credit card.

Details of the routes and how to track the sleigh on its travels can be found on the Pinner Rotary website www.pinnerrotary.org.uk or follow our facebook page @PinnerRotary.

We look forward to bringing some festive cheer to the children (and adults) of Pinner!
