Pinner Memorial Park has retained its Green Flag Status

Cllr Graham Henson, cabinet member for environment expressed his “delight” at the award,

He said: “Our parks and open spaces are loved and enjoyed by all our residents and we are absolutely delighted that five of our parks once again received Green Flag Awards.

“I’d like to thank all volunteers and staff who have worked extremely hard to keep our parks and open spaces to a high standard so that they can be enjoyed and used by everyone.”

International Green Flag Award scheme manager Paul Todd added: “We are delighted to be celebrating another record-breaking year for the Green Flag Award scheme.

“Each flag is a celebration of the thousands of staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to maintain the high standards demanded by the Green Flag Award.

“The success of the scheme, especially in these challenging times, demonstrates just how much parks matter to people.”

Help Wanted

We are in desperate need of volunteers to help erect and dismantle the marquee and staging on the following dates:

6, 13 & 20 August

We need help with the following

10:30 meet in the park near HR Museum.

  • Move staging from garage and set up
  • Set up main marquee
  • Set up gazebos
  • Set sound system up
  • Get chairs required to Marquee
  • Get chairs for rent moved

16:30 Meet in the park

  • Take down marquee
  • Take down gazebos
  • Fold up and remove staging
  • Chairs to garage
  • Sound system returned
  • Waste bins emptied and removed
