The Monumental Connections between St Marys Church, Harrow on the Hill and Harrow School.

Our next meeting is on Thursday 11 May at 8.00 pm, not the first Thursday in May but the second. At our next meeting Judith Shepherd will speak about “The Monumental Connections between St Mary’s Church, Harrow-on-the-Hill and Harrow School”. Since Harrow School was founded by John Lyon in 1572 the School and St Mary’s Church have enjoyed a close relationship. Judith produced a brochure for the 450th Anniversary of the Founding of Harrow School last year which was based on the memorials in and around the Church, which tell the story of years of Monumental Connections!  Judith, whom some members will know as an interesting, entertaining, and authoritative guide, will introduce us to these stories and explain some of the intriguing facts she encountered along the way.

Visitors are welcome, suggested donation £3.

The talk will follow our AGM which we plan to keep as short as possible.
