Flooding is possible – be prepared
We are currently seeing some heavy rainfall in the London area. There are further showers expected later this evening that will clear overnight into tomorrow, Wednesday 02 October. Most rivers in the Pinn catchment have fallen back to normal levels, although some still remain high. Further rain could cause levels to increase again, although no flooding to properties is forecast. We are closely monitoring the situation and will issue Flood Warnings if required. Take care near the areas of concern and monitor your local weather conditions. We are continuing to monitor river levels and have staff in the field checking for and clearing blockages in the rivers. This message will be updated by 10am tomorrow or earlier if the situation changes.

The Pinner Association Notice Boards
The way you can send A5 sized posters to The Pinner Association for free publicity display on our four notice boards around Pinner is changing.
The policy for posters from outside organisations to be displayed on the Pinner Association notice boards is strictly those from local charities and not-for-profit community organisations. We cannot allow any commercial posters as we get so frequent requests for free advertising that our boards would be covered in such posters. If you see any “commercial” poster on our notice board in the entrance lobby of Sainsbury’s this will have been put up without our consent and it will be removed as soon as we see it.
Posters / flyers from outside sources for display on our Notice Boards should be no larger than A5 size (half A4 size) – larger posters will not be displayed.
Posters which are to publicise an organisation or series of events will be displayed for as long as possible, but only for a limited time to allow space for other posters to be displayed.
Posters / flyers should give contact details for further information about the event or organisation being publicised. The Pinner Association cannot act as an agent for other organisations’ events.
The notice boards will be updated regularly, but you may need to wait to see your organisations’ poster / flyer displayed. Please send us your poster / flyer in good time before the date of a specific event to ensure its timely display.

OWL comes to Harrow
OWL, the Online Watch Link, is launching in Harrow on Saturday 14th September 2019. This is an online facility that allows local police to engage with residents and share information, alerts and solve problems. It also allows local watch areas to be established quickly and easily, allowing residents and coordinators to engage with their neighbours and the police. OWL has been tried and tested across the city and the counties with proven benefits to security and crime reduction. HS2 – Public Drop In Meeting
Don’t forget there is a drop in session at Cannons Lane Methodist Church on 16 September between 2pm and 4pm.
This is to keep us in formed about HS2.

Wondering what to do this Saturday? Come on down to the Pinner Village Show at the Pinner Memorial Park. For the first time ever – we will be there, so do drop in.
We will be at stall A9 near Chapel Lane Car Park.

Dress up as Santa for a 5k dash and raise money for your local hospice! St Luke’s Hospice cares for people within Harrow and Brent.
